In 2015, the entire area of the NSG was purchased by the North Rhine-Westphalia Foundation for Nature Conservation, Heritage and Cultural Preservation (NRW Foundation). The Association for Nature and Bird Protection in the Hochsauerlandkreis looks after the area on behalf of the NRW Foundation.
