The Recknitzwiesen nature reserve is a 555 hectare nature reserve in the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, three kilometers northeast of Ticino . It includes the course of the Recknitz river as well as the adjacent wet meadows and extends over parts of the municipalities of Ticino, Gnewitz , Zarnewanz and Stubbendorf . The legal determination took place on September 28, 1990.

The state of the area is rated as satisfactory. There are numerous ditches, weirs and drains to regulate the water balance, which prevent the areas from developing naturally.

A merger of the previous nature reserves Maibachtal , Teufelssee near Thelkow , Ehmkendorfer Moor , Gramstorfer Berge and Recknitzwiesen (partially) to form the new nature reserve Lieper Holz is in planning.
