The Teufelssee nature reserve near Thelkow is an 8 hectare nature reserve in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, one kilometer north of Thelkow . It is located in the hilly forest landscape of the Lieper wood. The legal determination took place on November 1, 1958. The nature reserve includes, in addition to the Teufelssee, a raised moor-like silting zone to the west and the surrounding red beech trees on the bank slopes. Partly there is a natural forest with spruce . The nature reserve offers numerous habitats for various animal and plant species. The Neolithic is worth seeing Urdolmen large stone grave Thelkow on the northern edge of the nature reserve, which is accessible via a forest path.

A merger of the previous nature reserves Maibachtal , Teufelssee near Thelkow, Ehmkendorfer Moor , Gramstorfer Berge and Recknitzwiesen (partially) to form the newly designated Lieper Holz nature reserve is in planning. The areas of the future nature reserve were transferred to the Naturschutzbund Deutschland Mecklenburg-Vorpommern as part of the national natural heritage .
