The New York City ATP tournament (officially: New York City Open ) is a tennis tournament that has been held in Uniondale , a suburb of New York in the state of the same name , since 2018 . It belongs to the ATP World Tour 250 category and is played on hard court at NYCB Live's Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum . The tournament license went from Memphis , where the tournament had previously been held 42 years, to New York. The tournaments in Buenos Aires and Rotterdam take place at the same time . The latter belongs to the higher tournament category ATP World Tour 500 .
