geography

The Deûle river limits the municipality to the north. Noyelles-Godault is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Évin-Malmaison in the northeast, Courcelles-lès-Lens in the east, Esquerchin in the south, Hénin-Beaumont in the southwest and Dourges in the northwest. The A 1 and A 21 pass through the municipality .
