Annay (also: Annay-sous-Lens ) is a French municipality with 4337 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Lens , the Canton of Lens and the Communauté d'agglomération de Lens-Liévin .
geography
The municipality is located as a banlieue about five kilometers northeast of Lens . Loison-sous-Lens is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Pont-à-Vendin in the north, Estevelles and Carvin in the northeast, Harnes in the southeast, Loison-sous-Lens in the southwest and Vendin-le-Vieil in the west.
Annay is bounded in the northeast by the canalized river Deûle.
