Bouvigny-Boyeffles is a French commune with 2,403 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality in the Arrondissement of Lens belongs to the Communauté d'agglomération de Lens-Liévin and the canton of Bully-les-Mines (until 2015: canton of Sains-en-Gohelle ). The inhabitants are called Bouvéniens .

Bouvigny-Boyeffles is located about 13 kilometers west of Lens in the Gohelle landscape . Bouvigny-Boyeffles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sains-en-Gohelle in the north, Aix-Noulette in the east, Ablain-Saint-Nazaire in the south-east, Guoy-Servins in the south, Servins in the west and south-west and Hersin-Coupigny in the west and north-west.
history
Remains of the Neanderthal man could be detected in the community. Settlement structures are also available for the Gallo-Roman period. At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, coal was mined in the municipality.
