Aix-Noulette is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bully-les-Mines in the north, Liévin in the northeast, Angres in the east, Souchez in the southeast, Ablain-Saint-Nazaire in the south, Bouvigny-Boyeffles in the west and Sains-en-Gohelle in the northwest.

The A21 Autoroute , the A26 Autoroute and the former Route nationale 48 run through the municipality .
