history

The oldest evidence goes back to the year 1140. Gozbertus de Obernheim, free class (i.e. high nobility), signs next to Burkard von Lautlingen as a witness in Schwenningen near Villingen for the Gegenbach monastery. Obernheim (also called Oberhain, Oberhan, Oberna and Obernen) was not able to develop into a village until late.

Around 1285, at the time when Nusplingen was raised, Obernheim was the “uppermost” place of eight home places around the new city: Oberdigisheim , Unterdigisheim , Obernheim, Bubsheim , Egesheim , Königsheim , Ensisheim and Hartheim .

The hamlet of Tanneck, two kilometers away, with 20-25 houses, built in 1817-1840, and the Wendelinus Chapel, built in 1848, belong to Obernheim. In the direction of Nusplingen , one kilometer from Obernheim, there is still the house with barn and stable of the brickworks built in 1836, built in 1841, at the point "where there was a brickworks long ago". On the other side of the street is the clay pit that has been leveled today.

Until the dissolution of the Württemberg upper offices on October 1, 1938, Obernheim and Nusplingen belonged to the Spaichingen office . In 1938 it came to the Balingen district during the regional reform . After its dissolution, Obernheim has been part of the Zollernalb district since January 1, 1973.

Say

A legend reports: After Wilhelmine von Grävenitz's marriage of convenience in the remote Oberhausen Castle near Tieringen , she returned to Württemberg. The mistress of the country father also wanted to exercise her influence in the Evangelical Church. However, she failed to do this with the deeply religious superintendent . When she asked for her name to be included in the prayer in the Evangelical Church in Württemberg, she is said to have received the following answer from Pastor Osiander: “This is already the case in every worship service with the words of the seventh request of the Our Father ('Redeem us from the evil ') ”. His wages (at that time also through own farms) were stopped immediately. The pastor from Tieringen, who carried out the wedding ceremony, died. A notice on marriage of convenience is on the eaves. The viewpoint allows a clear view of the upper home to lock Oberhausen. ( 48 ° 11 '34.53 "  N , 8 ° 50' 30.95"  O ).
