Barbara Plensat
Barbara Plensat (* 1939 in Berlin ) is a German radio play director .
Life
Barbara Plensat initially worked as a sound engineer and later as an assistant director for the radio in the GDR . After studying theater studies , she became a permanent director. In Helsinki , Prague and Athens she staged GDR radio plays that were translated into the respective national languages. She was co-director of the radio play Die Grünstein -variant , which received the Prix Italia in 1977 .
Barbara Plensat has worked as a freelance director for ARD since the end of the GDR . Her staging of No letter yesterday, none today (based on texts by Franz Kafka ) by Matthias Baxmann was radio play of the year 2003.
