history
The Pletschmühle was a Geldrisches fiefdom and was given on a long lease. It appears in the map of the surveyor Goeurdt Heutmechers from 1646, as well as in the Jean Joseph Tranchot map 1804/05.
At the Pletschbach there is an elongated row of courtyards known as Lobbericher Honnschaft Dyck. The farms that were milled there formed the basis for the existence of the mill, which was operated as an oil and grain mill . The water wheel was operated under-powered and suffered from a constant lack of water. In the second half of the 19th century the mill was idle in summer and could work for a few hours a maximum of three days in winter . Around 1900 the mill was stopped and the mill closed.
