Poljanka ( Ukrainian and Russian Полянка ) is an urban-type settlement in the west of the Ukrainian Oblast Zhytomyr with about 1700 inhabitants (2015).

Polyanka was founded in 1880 and received urban-type settlement status in 1967. The village is the administrative center of the settlement council of the same name within the Baranivka district , which also includes the village of Budysko ( Будисько ) with around 15 inhabitants.

Polyanka is located on the Hnylushka ( Гнилушка ), a tributary of the Slutsch 5 km southeast of the Rajon center Baranivka and 77 km west of Zhytomyr .
