Polling is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Mühldorf am Inn and a member of the Polling administrative community .

Polling is located in the planning region of southeast Upper Bavaria , about three kilometers southeast of Mühldorf and is traversed by the Hirschbach.

Polling is the second largest municipality in the district of Mühldorf a. Inn . The community is divided into the districts of Polling, Flossing , Grünbach and Forsting . It has 65 districts:
history
In 1123 a Ruprecht and Engelschalk von Polling and with it the place itself are first mentioned in a document. The oldest place in the municipality is the Flossing, mentioned in 788 . The Catholic Curate Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Polling is a late Gothic single-nave complex from the 15th century, redesigned in Baroque style by Franz Alois Mayr in 1758, it is part of the parish association of Flossing. The village of Polling belonged to the Burghausen Rent Office and the Mörmoosen Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .
Incorporations
On January 1, 1970, the previously independent community of Forsting was incorporated. Grünbach joined the company on July 1, 1970 . Flossing followed on January 1, 1972.

The former largest landlord in the village was the Raitenhaslach monastery , symbolized by the silver lily stem in the upper part of the local coat of arms. The red stag in the coat of arms stands for the former local family of the Pollingers von Polling.

Economy including agriculture and forestry
In 1998 there were six in the field of agriculture and forestry, 1093 in the manufacturing sector and 226 in the trade and transport sector at the place of work. An alleged apparition of Mary in the Unterflossing district caused some excitement in 2018, but the Catholic Church distanced itself.
