The Porsche Cayenne (type PO536 or 9YA) is an SUV from the Porsche automobile brand and the successor to the Porsche Cayenne (type 92A) . It was presented on August 29, 2017 in Stuttgart - Zuffenhausen , and the car had its public premiere at the International Motor Show in September 2017 in Frankfurt am Main .
In March 2019, the Porsche Cayenne Coupé, a variant with its own look, was presented.
Differences to the predecessor
In contrast to the previous model Porsche Cayenne (type 92A) , the new Cayenne generation is 63 mm longer, 44 mm wider and 9 mm flatter with the same wheelbase. The minimum size of the wheels increases from 18 to 19 inches. The curb weight is around 65 kilograms below that of the predecessor, despite the more extensive equipment.
The trunk volume has increased by 100 to 770 liters compared to the previous model.
The Cayenne III is no longer built at the Porsche plant in Leipzig , but together with the Audi Q7 and VW Touareg in Bratislava .
technology
Like the Audi Q7 4M and the Bentley Bentayga , the third-generation Cayenne is also based on the MLB platform.
The interior of the new Cayenne is based on the Porsche Panamera (type 971) . He takes over from this, among other things, the 12.3 inch infotainment system or the buttonless center console.
The two available at market launch V6 - petrol engines coming in the Panamera used. In both versions, the power control reverts to a eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission . A start-stop system is also installed as standard. The 404 kW (550 PS) turbo variant was also presented as a further drive variant at the IAA 2017. A variant with a plug-in hybrid drive will also be sold from May 2018 to August 2018 and since August 2019 . A diesel engine will no longer be offered for the Cayenne.
