Rüddel was a district of the municipality Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district . Today it forms part of Rosbach .

location

Rüddel lies on the slopes of the Leuscheid in the Siegtal . Former neighboring towns are Sieg and Hundenborn in the northeast, Obernau in the south, Roth in the west and Rosbach itself in the northwest.

history

The village belonged to the parish of Rosbach and at times to the mayor's office Dattenfeld .

In 1830 Rüddel had 32 inhabitants.

In 1845 the hamlet had 39 inhabitants in eight houses. In 1863 there were 44 people. In 1888 there were 50 residents in eight houses.

79 people lived here in 1962 and 102 in 1976.
