Rietzneuendorf-Staakow [ -ˈʃtaːkoː ] ( Lower Sorbian Nowa Wjas pśi rĕce-Stoki ) is a municipality in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg . It is administered by the Unterspreewald Office.

Rietzneuendorf-Staakow consists of the districts Friedrichshof , Rietzneuendorf and Staakow and the residential area Rietze.

history

Friedrichshof belonged to the Beeskow-Storkow district since 1816 , Rietzneuendorf to the Luckau district and Staakow to the Lübben district (Spreewald) in the province of Brandenburg . In 1952 the places were incorporated into the Lübben district in the GDR district of Cottbus . Since 1993 they have been in the Dahme-Spreewald district of Brandenburg.

Rietzneuendorf-Staakow was created on December 31, 2001 from the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent municipalities Rietzneuendorf-Friedrichshof ( Lower Sorbian Nowa Wjas pśi rĕce-Frycowy Dwor ) and Staakow ( Lower Sorbian Stoki ).

In 1455 the Wendish place Rietzneuendorf is mentioned with the name "Nuwendorf".

In 1974 Rietzneuendorf and Friedrichshof were merged to form Rietzneuendorf-Friedrichshof.

Staakow district

The Good Staakow, on the brink of the Spreewald was built in 1685 in the possession of William of Stutterheim. In the years 1711 and 1718 there was a sheep farm and a Vorwerk increased.

The boulders on the village meadow were brought to Staakow from the Baruther area around 1920 as witnesses of the Ice Age. They should be used when erecting a war memorial. Then in the 1980s they got a foundation and were surrounded by a flower border. The road through Staakow was built in 1934 as a test road for the nearby motorway construction.

• The village church Rietzneuendorf is a half-timbered church from 1704. The construction goes back to the church patron Adam Ernst von Stutterheim . Inside there is a pulpit altar from the beginning of the 18th century. A christening angel is attributed to Tobias Mathias Beyermann's workshop.

The state road L 711 leads through the municipality from Golßen to the Staakow junction on the federal highway 13 Berlin – Dresden. The motorway crosses the municipality. The nearby amusement park “ Tropical Islands ” can be reached via the Staakow junction .

The nearest train station is Brand, Tropical Islands two kilometers away on the Berlin – Cottbus line . It is served by the regional express line RE 2 Wismar - Berlin - Cottbus and the regional train line RB 24 Eberswalde - Berlin - Senftenberg .
