The Castle Chameregg is located in the same district of the Upper Palatinate town of Cham in the district of Cham of Bavaria .

history

The history of the castle corresponds to the representation about the castle Chameregg . The castle was abandoned around 1500 and Chameregg Castle was built in the valley. The current village of Chameregg was built around this castle. Until 1862, Chameregg Hofmark was owned by various noble families. The last noble owner was Theodor von Hallberg-Broich . After his death, Schloss Chameregg went into private ownership.

Construction

According to the engraving by Michael Wening in 1721, Chameregg Castle was a two-storey building covered with a gable roof with a porch covered by a pent roof. The corners of the house were highlighted by blocks. The castle had a small tower through which the entrance led. The facility was enclosed with a simple plank fence.

Today the renovated building has a stepped gable .

The castle is privately owned and cannot be visited.
