The castle ruin Buchberg , also called Schlossberg , is the ruin of a hilltop castle at 563  m above sea level. NN high summit of the Buchberg ("Schlossberg") in the municipality of Willmering in the Upper Palatinate district of Cham in Bavaria .

The castle was probably built in the 12th century by the Counts von Bogen , a powerful east Bavarian noble family , mentioned in 1196 and was owned by the Lords of Puchberg around 1200. The castle was destroyed in the 14th century.

Of the former 150 by 60 meter long oval castle complex with the main castle and outer bailey , only the stump of the keep on an area of ​​eight by eight meters and the remains of the wall are preserved. The Burgstall is now a ground monument .
