In recognition of his services, his son Simon (* around 1588–1633) was enfeoffed in 1630 with the Starostwo and the Ascheraden Castle , in what is now Aizkraukle in Latvia , which in 1674 was donated by Charles XI. of Sweden (1655–1697) as a barony, passed into the possession of the family. Simon von Schoultz was a Swedish artillery colonel and died in 1633 in the Thirty Years' War near Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm . His son Martin (1617–1782) rose to the position of Swedish lieutenant general , was district administrator and governor general of Skåne , governor in Narva . Martin was admitted to the baronial aristocracy with the nobility diploma on April 18, 1674, with the predicate "von Ascheraden". From this time on they carried the name Schoultz von Ascheraden. In 1675 he was introduced to the knight's house in Stockholm (No. 58).

His younger son Martin Simon (1660-1730) continued his father's military career, he was promoted to lieutenant general and represented the Swedish crown as governor of Wismar and Stralsund , where he founded the Pomeranian lineage. The older brother Carl Friedrich (1656–1728) was a royal Swedish colonel and after his active military service he took over the management of the estates Ascheraden and Römerberg, he was also a Livonian district administrator and continued the Livonian line. They were registered in the Livonian Knighthood under the number 70 and in the Estonian Knighthood under the matriculation number 289.

Carl Friedrich (1720–1782) is considered to be one of the most important Enlightenment reformers in the Baltic region, who tried to improve the situation of the peasantry. He became known and notorious through a private land law that he issued in 1764 for the farmers of Ascheradens (with Langholm) and in which he reinstated many rights and protective regulations of the Swedish era for the farmers. For his efforts, which for the most part did not survive his death, he was highlighted as one of the few Baltic German landowners as exemplary by the Enlightenment expert Garlieb Merkel .

The son Martin Simons, Carl Ludwig (* 1711) continued the Pomeranian line, he inherited the Schmantevitz and Lobkevitz estates near Breege on Rügen through his marriage to Freiin von Marschalk .
