Schulz & Böhmermann was a talk show moderated by Olli Schulz and Jan Böhmermann , which was produced by the bildundtonfabrik in Cologne .
concept
The concept was largely based on that of Roche & Böhmermann . Four guests were invited per broadcast, who sat down at a round table with Schulz and Böhmermann. It was allowed to drink and smoke while the guests discussed and argued among themselves at the same time. The concept thus counteracted the usual principle of talk shows on German television of offering guests plenty of space for self-expression. Instead of William Cohn , the guests were introduced in the new edition of the talk show by Sibylle Berg . At the end of the program, after the guests and the audience had already left the studio, the moderators gave a brief summary of the topics discussed and the behavior of the individual guests. The dominant color of the studio furnishings was black. The Sennheiser MD 441 microphone, which has been popular on German television since the 1970s, was used .

After the 2012 spilled talk show Roche & Böhmermann of Charlotte Roche and Jan Böhmermann had been hired by private conflicts Böhmermann were together with Olli Schulz on 20 August 2015 of the broadcast Neo Magazine Royale known from 2016 to host a talk show that se Roche & Böhmermann leans.
The first season was recorded from December 13 to 16, 2015 in the König studio in Cologne-Ehrenfeld . It was broadcast weekly on ZDFneo from January 10 to 31, 2016 . The best-of of the season followed after the fourth episode. On October 9, 2016, a second season for 2017 was announced, comprising ten episodes. From March 5, 2017, these were broadcast again on ZDFneo on the first Sunday of the month at 11:15 p.m.
The first broadcast of episode 7 of the second season was originally planned for September 3, 2017, but due to the participation of Franziska Giffey ( SPD ), the program could only be broadcast after the 2017 federal election .
Because of the low viewership, the show was discontinued after the second season.

The premiere broadcast on ZDFneo already achieved higher audience numbers than the previous Roche & Böhmermann broadcast . The episodes are always published beforehand at 8:15 p.m. in the ZDFmediathek. The 2nd season changed the broadcast slot and was moved from 10:45 pm to 11:15 pm.
