The 1995/96 season was the 62nd season of Serie A1 , the highest Italian ice hockey division . Champion was for the 13th time in the history of the HC Bozen .

In the main round, each of the nine teams played a total of 32 games. The eight best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
