The municipality of Sita Buzăului is located in the southeastern foothills of the Întorsura Mountains - a part of the Eastern Carpathians - in the south of the Covasna district. The community center is located four kilometers from the small town of Întorsura Buzăului (Bodsau) and about 45 kilometers southeast of the district capital Sfântu Gheorghe (Sankt Georgen ) on the upper reaches of the Buzău , the confluence of national road 13E with Drum național 10 and the Brașov – Întorsura Buzăului railway ) removed.
history
The place Sita Buzăului, mostly inhabited by Romanians, was first mentioned in 1533. According to Julius Teutsch , Fejérpataky László , Márton Roska u. a. were made south of the community center at the stream Valea Cremenii and at the Valea Chichereului on the area called Otacu , archaeological finds which point to a settlement in the Paleolithic . Finds from the municipality from this era are in the museum in Brașov (Kronstadt) . Finds from Roman times were also made in the incorporated village of Crasna (in Hungarian Krásznatelep ) .
At the time of the Kingdom of Hungary Dobarlau belonged to the chair district Orbai in the County Háromszék ( Romanian Comitatul Trei-Scaune ). Subsequently, Micfalău belonged to the historical Trei-Scaune (German three chairs ) and from 1950 to today's Covasna district.
In mid-2019, it was decided to expand the sewage network of the community center and the incorporated villages of Crasna and Zăbrătău (Zagon Glassworks) .
population
In 1850 there were 1030 inhabitants in the area of today's municipality of Sita Buzăului. 1015 of them were Romanians and 15 were Magyars . Attractions
- In the community center the church Adormirea Maicii Domnului was built in 1862 in place of a wooden church built in 1834. The remaining wooden beams were used to build a house with two rooms, in one of which the village school and one of the town council had its seat. Furthermore the monastery Schimbarea la Față was inaugurated in 1997.
- The community is also the starting point for the Lacul Vulturilor mountain lake ( ⊙ ) and for the Siriu reservoir ( ⊙ ) located about 18 kilometers (as the crow flies) southeast, both in the area of the small town of Nehoiu in the Buzău district . The reservoir has a length of about ten kilometers, its dam wall was built from 1982 to 1994 without the use of concrete over a length of 600 meters and is about 100 meters high.
