Staad is a district of the Baden-Württemberg city of Konstanz in the district of Konstanz in Germany .
Geographical location
Staad is located on an east-facing hillside east of Allmannsdorf. The old town center near the shore of Lake Constance at the landing stage for the Konstanz – Meersburg car ferry is densely built up.
history
First mentioned in 1246 as Stade apud Egge , in 1272 Staad came together with Allmannsdorf from Reichenau's possession to the Coming Mainau of the Teutonic Order . In terms of church, Staad initially belonged to Wollmatingen , later to Allmannsdorf.
On January 1, 1915, Staad came to Constance with the Allmannsdorf community , to which it belonged.

Staad by including the runs of Meersburg backward extending Oberschwäbische Pilgrim , the aim of the Konstanz Cathedral is; from there it is continued as the Schwabenweg .
