Suat Serdar (born April 11, 1997 in Bingen am Rhein ) is a German - Turkish soccer player .

Career

society

Serdar, whose family comes from Fatsa , started his career at Hassia Bingen . In 2008 he moved to the youth performance center of 1. FSV Mainz 05 and played there in all youth teams from the U12 onwards. In the 2013/14 season he was champion in the B-Jugend-Bundesliga Süd / Südwest .

On August 7, 2015, he signed a professional contract with Mainz 05, which initially ran until 2018; he was still eligible to play for the U19s until 2016. He made his professional debut for the second team of FSV in the 3rd division in the 2015/16 season on September 15, 2015. Three days later, he made his Bundesliga debut on the 5th matchday of the 2015/16 season . In his first two seasons in the top German league he came to irregular missions, mostly as a substitute. It was only in his third season that he played more often; he was used in 25 games in the 2017/18 season . His contract with Mainz 05 ran until 2021.

Serdar joined the season 2018/19 for FC Schalke 04 . He signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2022. In the Champions League season 2018/19 he failed with Schalke in the round of 16 at Manchester City .

National teams

Serdar went through the youth selection teams of the DFB from the U16 and has been in the squad of the U-21 national team since September 2017 . With the U-20 selection he took part in the 2017 World Cup in South Korea and with the U21s in the 2019 European Championship in Italy and San Marino , where the team reached the final (1: 2 against Spain).
