The Torneo Internazionale Città di Como Challenger in 2009 was the fourth edition of the tennis tournament at Challenger level in Como , Italy . It took place from August 31 to September 6, 2009 as part of the ATP Challenger Tour 2009 and was played outdoors on a clay court.

The winner in the singles was Oleksandr Dolhopolow in seventh place , who defeated the unseeded Juan-Martín Aranguren in two sets in the final. Dolgopolov remained without a set loss during the entire tournament. Last year's winner Diego Junqueira did not defend his title. In doubles, Marco Crugnola and Alessandro Motti, who were placed fourth, won the final against Treat Conrad Huey and Harsh Mankad, who were ranked higher . The previous year's winners Mariano Hood and Alberto Martín did not compete again this year.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. In the run-up, there was an injury-related cancellation in the double competition. Pedro Clar-Rosselló was unable to compete with his partner Malek Jaziri due to an injury to his left ankle . For them, the later single winner Oleksandr Dolhopolow played with Andrei Gorban in the doubles competition.
