What are you reading? was a broadcast by WDR between 2003 and 2010 , in which Jürgen von der Lippe and prominent guests each presented two to three books.

Von der Lippe and his guests regularly presented their favorite books in the 30-minute broadcast time in summer and winter. The program was broadcast mostly on Sundays from 11:15 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. The selected books are characterized by a high fun factor when reading, which also corresponds to the motto of the show: "Reading should be fun". The only condition is that the books come from rather unknown authors.

Guests of the show included Harald Schmidt , Cordula Stratmann , Annette Frier and Dirk Bach .

In a three-hour “Best of” on the night of June 28, 2008, von der Lippe also answered questions from numerous viewers and presented excerpts from previous programs, for example with Hape Kerkeling and Carolin Kebekus . There were a total of three book nights , in the last live broadcast on December 12, 2010, von der Lippe announced the end of the format on the part of the broadcaster.

On June 15, 2014, the WDR announced that, in response to popular requests from viewers, there would be two more editions, which were shown on the WDR on Saturdays on November 29 and December 6, 2014.

Since 2017, Jürgen von der Lippe has been moderating the program Lippes Leselust on his YouTube channel , which is a continuation of his program What are you reading? represents. The broadcast is recorded in the voles in Berlin.
