William B. Kaplan

William "Bill" B. Kaplan (* before 1972) is an American sound engineer , actor and cameraman who was nominated seven times for an Oscar for best sound.

Life

1970s, 1980s and 1990s

Kaplan began his career as a sound engineer in the Hollywood film industry in 1972 in the film drama Prison Girls by Tom De Simone with Jacqueline Giroux , Annik Borel and Tracy Handfuss and has worked on the production of nearly ninety films to date. In a few film productions he also appeared as an actor in supporting roles or worked as a cameraman.

At the Oscar ceremony in 1986 Kaplan was the first time for the Oscar for Best Sound nominated, along with Bill Varney , B.
