Zdeněk Štybar
Zdeněk Štybar [ ˈzdɛɲɛk ˈʃtɪbar ] (born December 11, 1985 in Stříbro ) is a Czech cyclocross and road cyclist .
Štybar was Czech champion in the 2004/05 season and at the cyclocross world championships in St. Wendel he won the race in the U23 class. A year later he was able to defend his title in Zeddam in front of the Dutchman Lars Boom and the Belgian Niels Albert . He then moved to the Belgian Fidea Cycling Team , where the world champion of the elite, Erwin Vervecken , also rides. Štybar has won a total of three world championships so far. After 2010 and 2011, he was also able to secure the title in Hoogerheide in 2014.
On the road , he celebrated his first international success in 2010 by winning the prologue of the Tour of Slovakia . In 2013 he achieved overall victory at the Eneco Tour including two stage wins. At the Vuelta a España 2013 he was able to win a stage in one of the three big tours for the first time . On the 6th stage of the Tour de France 2015 he also managed a stage victory. Above all, however, Stybar has developed specialists for the classics : He took 7th place at Milan-Sanremo in 2014 , 9th, 8th and 10th at the Tour of Flanders in 2015 , 2016 and 2018 and 6th at Paris-Roubaix 2013 . 5th place in 2014 , 2nd place in 2016 and 2017 .
