The one-day race Paris – Roubaix 2014 was the 112th edition of the cycling classic and took place on Sunday, April 13, 2014. The race was part of the UCI WorldTour .

The race led from Compiègne , around 80 kilometers north of Paris , to Roubaix , where it ended in the Vélodrome André-Pétrieux . The entire route was 257 kilometers long and led over 28 pavé sectors with a length of 51.1 kilometers. The winner Niki Terpstra completed the race with an average speed of 41.787  km / h .

It was dry and dusty. 60 kilometers from the finish, Tom Boonen worked his way forward to a breakaway group, which included Geraint Thomas . About 36 kilometers later, Boonen broke out of this group, Peter Sagan and Fabian Cancellara tried to follow him, but Cancellara was unable to get out of the peloton . 20 kilometers from the finish, the breakaway group was swallowed up by the group around Cancellara, while Sagan had moved slightly forward. At the Carrefour de l'Arbre , Sagan drove ahead, while a small group of John Degenkolb and Bradley Wiggins followed him seconds later, until he was finally overtaken by Cancellara, Sep Vanmarcke and Degenkolb, with Wiggins, Boonen, Terpstra and 15 seconds behind Geraint Thomas. Boonen also caught up with this group with nine kilometers to go. Six kilometers before Roubaix, Terpstra managed to pull away and quickly gain a lead. Since the pursuers could not agree, he was able to bring this lead to the finish and win. With Peter Sagan, the first Slovak placed in the top ten at Paris-Roubaix .
