Huber played his first international tournament at the 2002 World Youth Championship in Xylokastro and achieved ninth place with Konrad Podesser . With Felix Bläuel he came in 19th place at the 2003 Junior World Championships in Saint-Quay-Portrieux . A year later, Huber / Bläuel were ninth in the same competition in Porto Santo . He achieved the same result at the Junior World Championships 2005 in Rio de Janeiro with Thomas Mang . In between, Huber / Bläuel took part in Challenger tournaments and open tournaments of the FIVB World Tour for the first time. In 2006 they played the Zagreb Open and for the first time the Grand Slam in Klagenfurt . In St. Pölten they were U23 European champions with a final victory against the German duo Uhmann / Pompe . In addition, Huber won the Challenger tournament in Cagliari with Florian Gosch .

In 2007 and 2008 Huber Bläuel did not get any top placements on the World Tour. At the EM 2008 in Hamburg they were eliminated early after two defeats against the Germans Klemperer / Koreng and in the losing round the Spaniards García / Martin . At the Guarujá Open in September they came in seventh for the first time in the top ten of a tournament in the world series. Then Huber played a few tournaments with changing partners. At the side of Peter Gartmayer , he took part in the 2009 World Cup in Stavanger . At the Austrian championship , Huber reached the final in 2008 and 2009 and was runner-up.

Then he formed a new permanent duo with Robin Seidl . In 2010, fifth place at the Challenger tournament in Novi Sad was the best international result for Huber / Seidl. At the national championship they were in the final, making Huber Austrian runner-up for the third time in a row. In 2011 they reached the finals of the Baden Satellite and third places in Lausanne (Satellite) and Varna (Challenger). At the Grand Slam in Klagenfurt they defeated the reigning European champions Numberdor / Schuil and finished in 17th place. At the subsequent European Championship in Kristiansand , they came as one of three teams in the preliminary round group with equal points in the round of 16 and lost to the Danes Søderberg / Hoyer . They also became Austrian champions for the first time.

They started the 2012 season with a 13th place at the Brasília Open. At the European Championships in Scheveningen they reached the first knockout round as third in the group and were eliminated after three sets against the Swiss Gabathuler / Gerson . Then they finished fourth at the Masters in Novi Sad. Nationally, the defending champions reached the final and became Austrian runners-up. At the beginning of the 2013 season they got two third places at the satellite tournament in Antalya and the Fuzhou Open. They achieved other top results as fifth in the Baden Masters and fourth in the Grand Slam in The Hague . At the World Championships in Stare Jabłonki they had to admit defeat to the Germans Erdmann / Matysik as third party in the first knockout round . They came in ninth place each at the Grand Slams in Gstaad and Long Beach . At the European Championships in Klagenfurt they won their preliminary group and qualified directly for the round of 16, which they lost against the Norwegians Horrem / Eithun . They finished the year in ninth place at the Grand Slam in Xiamen .

The same result came in early 2014 at the CEV Masters in Baden. At the European Championships in Quartu Sant'Elena , Huber / Seidl reached the first knockout round in third place, in which they said goodbye with a defeat against the Russians Semjonow / Krassilnikow . Between the two Grand Slams in Stavanger and Gstaad, which they both finished in ninth place, they reached the final of the Masters in Novi Sad. At the 2015 World Cup in the Netherlands, they were eliminated as one of the worse group thirds after the preliminary round. They were also unsuccessful on the World Tour in 2015. Things went better at the European Championships in Klagenfurt , when they were third in the group and only lost to the Poles Kantor / Łosiak in the round of 16 . With ninth place at the Masters in Milan and fifth place in Xiamen, the results got better again.

In 2016, Huber / Seidl reached the final of the Doha Open and thus their best result on the World Tour so far, despite the defeat against the vice-European champions Ranghieri / Carambula . In four other open tournaments they were each ninth. The EM in Biel / Bienne, however, ended for them as the bottom of the group after the preliminary round. By winning the European Continental Cup in Stavanger , they qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . There they defeated the Americans Gibb / Patterson in the preliminary round . They came third in the group of sixteen, which they lost to the Americans Lucena / Dalhausser .
