LHJMQ

Anthony Mantha made his LHJMQ debut with the Foreurs de Val-d'Or in the 2010/11 season , although he only played two games and spent the rest of the season at the Riverains du Collège Charles-Lemoy . In the 2011/12 season Mantha played 63 games for the Foreurs de Val-d'Or, in which he scored 22 goals and prepared another 29. He also played for the U18 national team of his home country at the 2012 U18 Junior Ice Hockey World Championship , where he played seven games, scored one goal and won the bronze medal with the team. In the following season, the attacker was appointed to the Second All-Star Team of the LHJMQ after 89 points in 67 games and was later selected in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft in 20th position by the Detroit Red Wings .

In the 2013/14 season, Mantha achieved by far his best performance of the season with 120 scorer points in 57 games and was therefore honored with the Trophée Jean Béliveau as the league's top scorer and the Trophée Michel Brière as MVP of the regular season. With the Foreurs de Val-d'Or he won the LHJMQ championship in the playoffs and thus the Coupe du Président . Over the turn of the year he was also part of the Canadian U20 national team , with which he finished fourth at the World Cup and was appointed to the All-Star Team himself.

Detroit Red Wings

At the beginning of the 2014/15 season, Mantha switched to the Detroit Red Wings organization , which initially used him on their farm team , the Grand Rapids Griffins from the American Hockey League (AHL). He was appointed to the NHL squad for the first time in March 2016 and had made 10 appearances by the end of the season. At the beginning of the 2017/18 season, the attacker established himself in the Red Wings squad and scored 48 scorer points.

As part of the 2019 World Cup , Mantha made his debut for the senior national team of his home country and won the silver medal with the team.
