Anuanuraro (other name: Heretua, old name: Archangel or San Miguel Archangel ) is an uninhabited atoll in French Polynesia . The atoll is part of the Duke of Gloucester Islands in the Tuamotu Archipelago and is part of the Hao community .
Anuanuraro is a small, almost square atoll, 5.3 km long and 3.2 km wide, the atoll's lagoon has no navigable access to the sea. The land area is 2.2 km², the lagoon is 11 km².
The uninhabited atoll belonged to the pearl merchant Robert Wan , but was bought back by French Polynesia in 2002. The airfield, which was created by Wan in 1982, is now closed.
