The village called Argeningcken-Grauszus at the beginning of the 18th century consisted of three large farms before 1945. In 1874, the place was incorporated into the newly established Eromeiten district (it was called from 1939 "Ehrenfelde district"; the Russian name of the place, which no longer exists today, was Slatoustje ), which was incorporated into the Ragnit district until 1922 , then until 1945 District Tilsit-Ragnit in the administrative district Gumbinnen belonged to the Prussian province of East Prussia .

As a result of the war, the place came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia in 1945 .
