Stanowoje ( Russian Становое , German Norwilkischken , 1938 to 1946 Argenflur , Lithuanian Norvilkiškiai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Neman in Nemansky District .
Geographical location
Stanowoje is located on the river Arge (Russian: Slaja), 17 kilometers southwest of the district town of Neman (Ragnit) immediately south of Schilino (Szillen) on the municipal road 27K-069 to Uljanowo (Kraupischken / Breitenstein) . The next train station is Schilino on the currently inoperative Chernyakhovsk – Sovetsk (Insterburg – Tilsit) railway .

The little once Norwilkischken called village was 1,874 to 1,945 in the District Szillen incorporated (in 1939 in "District Schillen" renamed) and belonged until 1922 to the county Ragnit , then to the district of Tilsit-Ragnit in Administrative district Gumbinnen the Prussian province of East Prussia . Norwilkischken was renamed "Argenflur" on June 3, 1938 - with official confirmation from July 16 - for political and ideological reasons to avoid foreign-sounding place names.
As a result of the war, the village came to the Soviet Union in 1945 along with all of northern East Prussia . It was given the Russian name "Stanowoje" in 1950 and was at the same time classified in the village soviet Schilinski selski Sowet in Sovetsk Raion . From 2008 to 2016 Stanowoje belonged to the rural municipality of Shilinskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Neman.

By far the largest part of the residents of Norwilkischkens resp. Before 1945, Argenflur was a Protestant denomination. The village was in the parish of the Szillen Church (the place was called from 1938 to 1946: Schillen, today in Russian: Schilino) and thus part of the Ragnit diocese in the Tilsit-Ragnit church district within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Stanowoje is in the catchment area of two Evangelical Lutheran congregations, Sabrodino (Lesgewangminnen , 1938 to 1946 Lesgewangen) and Bolshakowo (Groß Skaisgirren , 1938 to 1946 Kreuzingen) , both of which belong to the provost of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Belong to European Russia .
