Kotelnikowo ( Russian Котельниково , German  Neuhof-Ragnit , Lithuanian Raganytė , Naujakaimis ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . The place belongs to the municipal self-government unit urban district Neman in the Rajon Neman .

Geographical location

Kotelnikowo is located three kilometers northwest of Neman (Ragnit) and seven kilometers southeast of the city of Sovetsk (Tilsit) and can be reached via a feeder road from the regional road 27A-033 (ex A198 ). The next train station (only for goods traffic) is Neman or Sowetsk on the railway lines to Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) and to Chernyakhovsk (Insterburg) .

history

The former (Groß) Neuhof-Ragnit (opposite Klein Neuhof-Ragnit , today in Russian: Akulowo) was an estate district as well as a remonteamt and a community-free district at the time. On June 3, 1938, the previous name "Gutsgebiet Neuhof-Ragnit, Remontedepot" was changed to "Neuhof-Ragnit, Remonteamt". On December 24, 1941, the remontedepot Gutsgebiet Damnitzhof (no longer existent today) was reclassified from the district Groß Kindschen (the place no longer exists) to the Gutsgebiet Neuhof-Ragnit, Remonteamt. From December 30, 1941, Neuhof-Ragnit was an army goods district .

With all of northern East Prussia , Neuhof-Ragnit was assigned to the Soviet Union in 1945 . The place received the Russian name "Kotelnikowo" in 1950 and was at the same time classified in the village soviet Petrowski selski Sowet in the Rajon Sovetsk , the later Rakitinski selski Sowet in the Raion Neman. Later the place came to the village district Michurinski selski okrug . From 2008 to 2016 Kotelnikowo belonged to the urban municipality of Nemanskoje gorodskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Neman.

The vast majority of the population of Neuhof-Ragnit was Protestant before 1945 . The village belonged to the parish of the parish church in Ragnit , the main church of the diocese of Ragnit in the parish of Tilsit-Ragnit within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .
