Balensiefen is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

Balensiefen lies on the heights of the Bergisches Land . Neighboring towns are Söntgerath in the northwest and Brackemich in the southeast.
history
The village used to belong to the municipality of Much , until 1969 to the municipality of Neunkirchen .
In 1830 Much- Balesiefen had 25 residents. In 1845 Bahlesiefen had 27 Catholic residents in five houses. In 1888 there were 15 residents in five houses in the municipality of Much and 18 residents in two houses in the municipality of Neunkirchen.
In 1901 the homestead in Much had 15 residents: the farming families Johann Marten Franken and Johann Schwamborn; the homestead in Neunkirchen has eight residents: the farming families Johann Hahn and Johann Heinrich Klein.
In 1910, only the farmhand Johann Schwamborn lived in Much-Balensiefen, and farmhand Johann Hahn, farmhand Peter Wilhelm Hahn and farmhand Johann Heinrich Klein in Neunkirchen-Balensiefen .
