Beckov (German Beckow , Hungarian Beckó ) is a municipality in western Slovakia . It is located in the northern Danube hill country on the river Waag at the foot of the Inowetz , 8 km from Nové Mesto nad Váhom and 21 km from Trenčín .
The place was first mentioned in writing in 1208. He is known for the Beckov Castle .
