Faience from Castellet
In the 18th century, the community was best known for the production of orange-colored faience . In 1723 César Moulin moved in with his uncle, who was the local pastor here, to help him manage his property. He founded a faience manufacture in the village, which was in operation until 1852 and even supplied the royal court in Versailles . From here the handicrafts spread to the city of Apt, which rose to become an important faience center in the early 19th century.
Attractions
In the center of the village is a house from the 13th century, of which the arched portal and twin windows have been preserved.
Since the Middle Ages, water has been flowing from a Luberon spring from a well redesigned in 1777.
