Cabrières-d'Aigues is a French municipality with 955 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Vaucluse in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of Pertuis in the Apt arrondissement .
geography
Cabrières-d'Aigues is about ten kilometers north of the city of Pertuis . Neighboring municipalities are Cucuron , Sannes , La Motte-d'Aigues , Saint-Martin-de-Castillon , Castellet-en-Luberon and Auribeau .
The municipal area extends from the 1,125 meter high Mourre Nègre in the northwest, the highest peak in the Luberon Mountains, to the Étang de la Bonde . At 30 hectares, the pond is the largest body of water in the Luberon Regional Park , which also includes the municipality.
