Beaumettes is a French municipality with 255 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Vaucluse department in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of Apt in the Apt arrondissement .
geography
The municipality marker is bordered to the south by the Calavon River . The neighboring communities are Goult in the north and east, Ménerbes in the south and Gordes in the west.
The commune belongs to the Côtes du Ventoux wine-growing region , whose designation of origin is protected by the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC).

The former Route nationale 93 was built between Aspres-sur-Buëch and Beaumettes at the beginning of the 20th century .
