Charles Mingus / discography
This discography is an overview of the released records of the bassist, band leader and composer Charles Mingus . It comprises his albums under his own name ( Section 1 ), published recordings of world premieres of key compositions ( Section 2 ), posthumously published live albums ( Section 3 ), shellac records and singles of the early work ( Section 4 ), compilations ( Section 5 ), and his contributions as an accompanist ( section 6 ). It does not include recordings of his compositions by the band projects Mingus Dynasty and the Mingus Big Band, which are dedicated to Mingus .
