The district of Chorrillos is one of the 43 urban districts of the Lima Metropolitana region in Peru . It has an area of ​​38.94 km². The 2017 census counted 314,241 inhabitants. In 1993 the population was 217,000, in 2007 286,977. The district was founded on January 2, 1857. The district administration is at a height of 37  m .

Geographical location

The district of Chorrillos is located on the Pacific coast 16 km south-southeast of downtown Lima. The district has an approximately 12.5 km long coastline. It borders in the north on the districts of Barranco and Santiago de Surco and in the east on the districts of San Juan de Miraflores and Villa El Salvador .
