The Karlstadt deanery is one of 20 deaneries in the Roman Catholic diocese of Würzburg .

It includes the old districts of Gemünden am Main and Karlstadt , today the district of Main-Spessart . In the east it borders on the dean's office Hammelburg, in the south-east on the dean's office Schweinfurt-Nord and dean's office Schweinfurt-south , in the south on the dean's office Würzburg right of the Main and dean's office Würzburg left of the river Main , in the west on the dean's office Lohr and in the north on the diocese Fulda .

Forty parishes and two curatia have merged into twelve parish communities by 2010.

The dean is Albin Krämer, coordinating pastor of the parish community of the Franconian Apostles, Zellingen. The administrative headquarters are in this town.
