The dean's office Haßberge is one of 20 dean's offices in the Roman Catholic diocese of Würzburg .

It includes the district of Haßberge , as well as some communities from the district of Bamberg , which were incorporated in 1972. It borders in the north on the diocese of Erfurt , in the east and south on the archbishopric Bamberg and in the west / northwest on the deanery Schweinfurt-Süd , Dekanat Schweinfurt-Nord and the deanery Bad Neustadt . On June 1, 2010, Bishop Friedhelm Hofmann merged the two previous deaneries Ebern and Haßfurt to form the new deanery Haßberge.

By 2010, 46 parishes and eleven curaties had come together to form twelve parish communities.

Dean is Stefan Gessner, pastor of the parish community of St. Christophorus in Baunach, Itz- and Lautergrund, Baunach, and parish administrator of the parish community of St. Kilian and companions, Pfarrweisach. His deputy Kurt Wolf, pastor of the parish community Heilig Geist, Rauhenebrach. The administrative headquarters are in Mürsbach in Markt Rattelsdorf .
