history

The first documentary mention of this brook dates back to the year 1230: In the First Bavarian Salbuch of the Stauffe (Regenstauf) office, Tusenpach , a place with two farms with interest, was named; In 1255 there were already three farms. In 1505 Dewssenbach fell to the Principality of Pfalz-Neuburg .

In 1563, when there was meanwhile a three-storey castle in this stream, the place was raised to a noble seat under Hans Joachim von Perchtolzhofen on Traidendorf ; This family owned the castle and estate until 1639.

In 1677, Carl Ferdinand von Grünthal sold the town and castle to the St. Paul Jesuit College in Regensburg. The Jesuits renovated and expanded the estate and built not only a small chapel on the site, but also an agricultural school. The property was used to supply the Regensburg College; The villa in thisbach was also used by professors, novices and students as a place to relax on days when there was no class. Around 1700 there were only three entire farms, six small farms and four mercenary houses in this stream, in addition to the castle and estate .

After the abolition of the Jesuit order , this Bach Castle fell to the Prince-Bishop of Regensburg, Bishop Anton Ignaz von Fugger . The castle has been privately owned since 1830. It was destroyed by fire around 1850.

After the Second World War, the population of the street village grew rapidly. In 1978 it was incorporated into the Regenstauf market, at which time it had 1,700 residents.

This Bach has had its own elementary school since 1965. The Catholic Church of St. John Evangelist was built between 1977 and 1979.
