The ice hockey regional league 1975/76 was, in contrast to the previous year , played in three groups, from the previous group north the groups north and west emerged, which were increased accordingly.

Champion was the newcomer SC Reichersbeuern , who, however, renounced the promotion. Instead, the Schwenninger ERC and TuS Geretsried and the ERC Sonthofen rose to the Oberliga Süd and Neusser SC in the Oberliga Nord.

The groups north and south played a single round. Group West also played a single round first, then a final of the first four of the preliminary round.

The leaders of the groups West and North played in the first and second leg from the promoted to the league and participants in the regional league championship, the winner met in the finals on the first of the group South.

The teams of the upper division FASS Berlin and EHC Nord Berlin were merged to form the new ice hockey department of BFC Preussen . The previous 2nd team of the FASS became the first team and rose to the regional league. The SC Altenau replaced the EG Oberharz. The TV Jahn Wolfsburg also played in Altenau .

Regional league south

Attendees

The DEC Frillensee Inzell was promoted to the league. Since the EV Fürstenfeldbruck had withdrawn from the league, there was no relegated from the league. The EV Berchtesgaden was relegated from the Regionalliga. This resulted in four promoted players from the Bayern League .

The SC Reichersbeuern waived the promotion, but took part in the games for the regional league championship. As a result of the short-term increase in the 2nd Bundesliga, Geretsried and Sonthofen also moved into the top division alongside Schwenningen. As a result, TSV Schliersee remained in the regional league.
