Eternal table of the 2nd Bundesliga

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Eternal Table of the 2nd Bundesliga is a statistical addition of all championship rounds of the 2nd Bundesliga since it was founded in 1974 and so far comprises 127 clubs. The calculations are retrospectively based on the three-point rule (three points per win, one point per tie). The table was headed for many years by SC Fortuna Köln , which was neither promoted nor relegated as a founding member of the league until 2000. Alemannia Aachen was then from December 7, 2009 first in the all-time table; In addition, since November 6, 2011, the club was the first to play more than 1,000 championship games in the 2nd Bundesliga. In 2017, SpVgg Greuther Fürth was at the top of the table and has now also played over 1,000 championship games. The youngest newcomer is Hamburger SV , who played in the 2nd Bundesliga for the first time in the 2018/19 season.

The table includes, in addition to the current 18 second division, 17 Bundesliga, 16 third division, 25 fourth division, 20 fifth division, 10 sixth division, 3 eighth division, 1 ninth division, 1 tenth division and 13 clubs that have since been dissolved.

Eternal table

In the table, the clubs are listed under the name under which they last played in the 2nd Bundesliga. The services of BV 08 Lüttringhausen and BVL 08 Remscheid can be found in the balance sheet of the merger club FC Remscheid .

Clubs in bold will play in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2020/21 season. The fourth from last column shows the average number of points won per game. The third column (years) shows how many complete seasons the club has already completed in the 2nd Bundesliga (a "+" after the number indicates the additional "started" 2020/21 season of the current second division team). The Roman number in the penultimate column indicates the rank of the division.
