Fary Faye (born December 24, 1974 in Dakar ) is a Senegalese football player .

Career

In Senegal Faye played for ASC Jeanne d'Arc Dakar until 1992 and moved to the capital club ASC Diaraf. In 1996 he moved to Portugal to the third division União de Montemor , where he stayed for two years. In 1998 the club SC Beira Mar from Aveiro signed him . Here Faye developed into one of the most successful strikers in Portugal. He played successfully in the Senegalese national team. In the 2002/03 season Faye was together with Simão Sabrosa from Benfica Lisbon top scorer in the Portuguese SuperLiga .
