Lisandro López (born March 2, 1983 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine football player on the position of a striker .

biography

After he moved from the youth team of his club Racing Club Avellaneda to the professional squad in 2003, he immediately established himself as a regular player and scored many goals for his club. This aroused the interest of FC Porto , who signed him in July 2005 for the equivalent of 3.85 million euros. López won the Portuguese championship title with Porto for four consecutive years (2005/06 to 2008/09). In the 2007/08 season he was Portugal's top scorer with 24 goals.

In July 2009, López moved to Olympique Lyon for 24 million euros . In France, he was voted Ligue 1 player of the year after his first season .

In the summer of 2013 he moved from Lyon to the seven-time Qatari master al-Gharafa from Doha.
