The Gmina Dąbrowa is a rural municipality in the Powiat Opolski of the Opole Voivodeship in Poland . Your seat is the village of the same name ( German Dambrau ) with a little more than 1000 inhabitants.
geography
The rural community borders the city of Opole and is 60 km southeast of Wroclaw in the west of Upper Silesia . The state road Droga krajowa 46 (DK 46) runs through the municipality.

history
As a result of World War II , Silesia came to Poland. A minority was able to survive in the area of the municipality. According to the last Polish census of 2002, 17.19 percent of the community population belong to the German minority , and another 3.44 percent describe themselves as "Silesians".

Community leader
The head of the community administration is the community leader. This is Katarzyna Gołębiowska-Jarek. In the regular election in October 2018, she was elected with 54.8% of the votes against Marek Leja, who lost 45.2% of the votes.

The municipal council consists of 15 members and is directly elected in single-person constituencies. The 2018 municipal council election led to the following result:

Other localities are Sokolniki and Wyrębiny.
The places Sławice (Slawitz) and Wrzoski (Wreske) were incorporated into the city of Opole on January 1, 2017 and left the municipality of Dąbrowa.
